Bleeding Love Monday, December 24 | comment

Not exactly your type of Christmas song but I am awed by the sheer voice of Leona Lewis! Bleeding Love is SO stuck to my head, I'm humming to it all the time, especially the the part she goes..

"My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love ..."

Salon Hopping Monday, December 17 | comment

I learned something this month, through the hard way.

1) DO NOT fall asleep during your haircut.
2) ALWAYS, I cannot emphasize again, ALWAYS make sure your hairdresser knows what you're talking about.
They are artists in some sense, they cannot see what you describe. They only see what they think is good for you. So unless you are very good in your vocabulary, I suggest you speak in their language. Even so things will still go wrong. I am so skeptical about salons which hairstylist i choose to go to now. Best bet to bring along a snapshot of that famous celebrity or magazine cutout to help ur stylist to visualize.

My hair is a victim of Edward-ScissorsHands-Not. I visited 3 salons to get it to a short bob now. I burnt a hole in my pockets and a gap from shoulder to my hair. Now I can take advantage of the student package buffets, discounted bus and train rides. Maybe Santa Claus will grant me a wish this year, I look like I just graduated from high school.

No matter how tempted I am, I vowed never to cut blunt fringes again.
Should not went under the scissors today, seems like everything went wrong after that.

The Blackest Lies Monday, December 10 | comment

I see things too far ahead - all the time. There are two types of people in the organization, "delusional" and "savvy". Delusional people believes the propaganda they spin without questioning it. They don't know the truth, and by hell, they are not about to let anyone know what they don't know.

The second type is savvy people. These are people with intelligence. They know exactly what is going on, they know exactly what the upper management is up to. And they sanction it, they condone every single transgression and boondoggle. "Lying to the people for their own good", Straussian and Machiavellian at their very best.

Fundamentally, they appear to help you with the so-called managers. Humans are selfish, they only do things out of self-interest. To anything that benefits them, of course they say I am helping you. I am helping my manager to reach his goal, not MY goal. He is only helping me because I am helping him. If I am not producing results, I hardly think I am hearing from him anymore.

A manager who is able to turn white lies to black lies without batting an eyelid, I FEAR being around with him. Whatever I say, he will be able to convince me to stay. I chose to cut him out abruptly. I chose to leave. To discuss my resignation ideas with him will be cutting open a lamb to find a wolf within. Which wolf writes I AM BIG BAD WOLF across their foreheads to tell you that they are bad? Humour and sweet talk can deceive most girls but

Not me. I see things too clearly for now.

I HATE LIES.

The Story Behind the Nutcracker Suite | comment

Once upon a Christmas time, in a faraway land, lived Prince Noel in a magnificent palace. From the soaring towers of his castle, he enjoyed watching the beautiful Princess Ballerina dance all day. As Christmas got closer, Prince Noel found himself falling deeply in love with the dancing Princess. He decided to propose to her on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve finally arrived, and Prince Noel arose early to declare his love, but when he went to his window, he found the Princess missing!

He set off immediately in search of the Princess but found himself at the edge of a glittering forest. It was the Crystal Forest which he had heard so much about. The forest was huge, and Prince Noel had no choice but to go through it. He wandered in, thinking he might get lost, when all of a sudden, he heard a tinkling sound which grew louder and louder.

Prince Noel looked up. Arriving from amongst the clouds on a chariot led by silver swans was the legendary and beautiful Crystal Fairy. The Crystal Fairy offered her chariot to take him to Princess Ballerina. He thanked her excitedly and boarded the chariot.

Finally, just before the magic stroke of midnight, the snowflakes faded away, and Prince Noel arrived at a stunning palace of crystal and gold. Joyous Christmas carols emanated from within and he knew at once that he had found his Princess.

And on that magical Christmas Day, in a faraway fairy tale land, Prince Noel married Princess Ballerina and they both lived happily ever after.
